MGHS Theater - "The Boyfriend" March 11, 12, 13

The Mount Gilead High School Theatre proudly announces a production of  The Boy Friend, a musical that takes place in 1926 at Madame Dubonnet’s Finishing School on the French Riviera. Polly, an English heiress, falls in love with Tony, a delivery boy. Conscious of her father's warning to beware of boys dating her for her family’s money, Polly pretends to be just a secretary. Things get complicated with the unexpected arrival in Nice of Polly's father and Lord and Lady Brockhurst. It turns out that Lord and Lady Brockhurst are in fact Tony’s wealthy parents. Polly and Tony have shared the same secret – they both come from wealthy families. However, everyone ends up living happily ever after.

Performances are Thursday, March 11, at 7:00 PM and Friday, March 12, and Saturday, March 13, at 7:30 PM in the high school auditeria.  Tickets at the door are $7.00 for an adult and $5.00 for a student.  Presale tickets are available from any cast member, at any of the school offices, or by sending in the order form below for $6.00 an adult and $4.00 a student.  The musical is under the direction of Jim and Betsy Anderson.
